How does Etsy handle shipping charges and label costs in my payout?

  • Your shipping label cost (what you paid Etsy to buy the label) appears as a separate line item in the Payment account (often under Shipping/Shipping labels).
  • Etsy’s selling fees and payment processing fees are deducted as their own line items. Importantly, Etsy calculates some fees based on the total the buyer paid for the order (including shipping you charged), so even if you charged the buyer exactly what postage cost you, you can still come out slightly short on “shipping” after fees.
