When will Etsy deposit my first sale payout to my Payoneer account?

I’m a new Etsy seller and I just made my first sale. I connected Payoneer for my payouts, but I’m not sure how long it usually takes for Etsy to release funds and for them to show up in Payoneer.

How long do first-time Etsy payouts to Payoneer typically take, and is there anything I should check in my payment settings to avoid delays?

Hi! For a brand-new Etsy shop, it’s normal that your first sale money won’t move to Payoneer right away—most new sellers see their funds become eligible for deposit about 14 days after the sale, and if you’re using Payoneer, Etsy typically sends deposits only once a week (on Monday). After Etsy sends it, it can take a few more business days to actually show up in your Payoneer balance.

What “typical” looks like for a first payout to Payoneer

  • Step 1: Sale happens → funds are “Not yet available.” New sellers commonly have an availability hold (often around 14 days).
  • Step 2: Funds become “Available for deposit.” Check the exact “available” date inside your Payment account—Etsy shows it per order.
  • Step 3: Etsy sends Payoneer payout on Monday. Even if your funds become available on a Wednesday, you’ll usually wait until the next Monday payout run.
  • Step 4: Transfer time to Payoneer. After Etsy initiates the deposit, it may take a few business days to land in Payoneer (timing can vary by region/banking/verification).

So in practice, a first payout often feels like ~2–3+ weeks from the sale date (sometimes longer if something is still being verified or a reserve is applied).

Things to check in your payment settings to avoid delays

  1. Shop Manager → Finances → Payment account

    • Look for your “Available for deposit” amount and the date funds will be available for that order.
    • Check whether you have a payment account reserve showing (this can keep some funds unavailable longer, especially on newer shops or higher-risk situations).
  2. Payoneer account status

    • Make sure Payoneer isn’t waiting on identity verification (KYC) or additional documents. This is a super common reason for first-payout delays.
  3. Etsy Payments setup completeness

    • Confirm your legal/identity info and taxpayer details (if Etsy requested them) are fully completed and match your documents.
    • Make sure you have a valid billing card on file (Etsy uses it to cover fees/refunds if your balance can’t).
  4. Recent changes can pause deposits

    • If you just changed payout/bank/payment details, Etsy may enforce a short security wait before the next deposit is sent.

If you tell me (a) the date of your first sale and (b) what your Payment account shows for “funds available” and “next deposit date,” I can help you estimate the most likely Monday your Payoneer payout will be sent.
