Best Packaging Supplies for Etsy Sellers

I recently started an Etsy shop selling stickers, and I ship orders using untracked letter mail. My sales picked up over the last few weeks, and while earlier orders received reviews, I haven’t had any reviews or messages from the more recent shipments.
Many of these were domestic orders that usually arrive quickly, so I’m worried some might not have been delivered. Is it normal for Etsy buyers not to leave feedback or contact the seller even if an order is late, and should I proactively message customers to confirm delivery (or is that likely to come across as intrusive)?
Hi! Yes—this “quiet period” is totally normal on Etsy, especially for low-cost items like stickers sent by untracked letter mail. Most buyers don’t leave a review, and a lot of people won’t message you unless they need something (some will even assume delays are normal and just wait).
I wouldn’t proactively message every buyer just to confirm delivery. It often backfires because it reminds people to look for the order (or worry that something’s wrong) and it can feel a bit intrusive—plus you’ll create a lot of extra conversations you can’t really resolve without tracking.
If you want a safe approach, do this instead:
A simple message you can copy/paste:
“Hi! I just wanted to check in because your sticker order shipped on [date] via letter mail (untracked). Most arrive quickly, but sometimes USPS runs a bit slow. If it hasn’t arrived in the next couple of days, reply here and I’ll help right away (replacement or refund—whatever you prefer). Thanks again!”
Two small tweaks that help a lot going forward:
If you tell me what country you’re shipping from and where most buyers are (US domestic vs international), I can suggest a reasonable “wait time” before you send that check-in message, without being pushy.
