Why aren’t my Etsy Marketplace Insights free credits updating each week?

Hi! Yes—Etsy is still offering weekly free Marketplace Insights searches. As of now, Etsy says sellers can do up to 15 keyword searches per week for free, and your remaining searches should show above the search bar in Marketplace Insights.

If your free balance isn’t refreshing and it’s “stuck,” here are the most common things to check:

• Make sure you’re using the right place/version: Marketplace Insights is available on desktop and mobile web, not the Etsy Seller app. Go through Shop Manager → Stats → Marketplace Insights on a browser.
• Confirm you’re logged into the right Etsy account/shop: The quota follows the account, so if you have multiple shops under one login, the free searches may be shared.
• Give it a full rolling week (don’t rely on “Monday reset”): Etsy doesn’t clearly promise a specific reset day/time, so if you used searches “late” last week, your refresh may effectively happen 7 days after you used them (depending on how Etsy counts the week on your account).
• Rule out a browser/session glitch: Try an incognito/private window, a different browser/device, log out/in, clear cookies/cache, and temporarily disable ad blockers or browser extensions (they can break the counter display).
• Check whether you’re actually consuming searches faster than you think: Re-running lots of new keywords (or testing variations/spellings) can burn through the weekly amount quickly; the tool counts keyword searches, not “minutes of use.”

If none of that changes it after you’ve waited a full 7 days since your last reset/use, it’s likely an Etsy-side issue. At that point, the best move is to contact Etsy Support and tell them your Marketplace Insights weekly free searches aren’t resetting—they can see the quota status on their end and whether your account is stuck in an experiment/bug.
