When will Etsy deposit my first sale payout to Payoneer?

I’m a new Etsy seller and just made my first sale. My shop is set up to receive payouts through Payoneer, but I’m not sure how long it usually takes for Etsy to send the funds and for them to show up in my Payoneer balance.

How long do first-time Etsy payouts to Payoneer typically take, and are there any common setup steps or holds that could delay the deposit?

Hi! For most brand‑new Etsy sellers, your first sale money usually won’t be eligible to be deposited right away—Etsy generally makes funds eligible for deposit about 14 days after the sale (it can be longer depending on your shop’s standing). Once funds are “available,” if you’re on Payoneer with Etsy Payments, Etsy typically sends available funds to Payoneer on Mondays, and then it may take another 1–2 business days to actually show up in your Payoneer balance.

A few common things that delay a first payout to Payoneer (even when you’ve made a sale):

  • New seller hold / deposit eligibility window: the order can show in your Etsy Payment account, but it’s listed as “not yet available” until the hold period ends.
  • Payment account reserve or deposit delay: Etsy may place a reserve/hold on some shops (risk checks, sudden volume, higher‑risk categories, disputes/chargebacks, etc.), which keeps some or all funds from being available.
  • Payoneer setup not fully completed: if your Payoneer onboarding, identity verification, or requested documents aren’t finished/approved, payouts can be paused.
  • Etsy verification items incomplete: things like identity/business info, tax details (where applicable), or any “verify account” tasks can stop deposits.
  • Fees/negative balance: if Etsy fees/ads/shipping labels/refunds push your Etsy Payment account toward a negative balance, there may be nothing available to deposit yet.

Quick way to sanity-check what’s happening: go to your Etsy Payment account and look for (1) the “funds available on” date for that order and (2) whether you see any note about a reserve/hold. If you tell me the deposit schedule you see (weekly vs. other) and whether your Payment account shows the funds as “available” or “not yet available,” I can help you estimate your most likely payout date.
